I will follow Joshi as (surprise surprise), I had worked on the blasters sent to him.
So I started with the raptor XS-908 blaster as it had decent foundation. It has decent performance (130 fps for its original spring and worker barrel, 150 FPS for 12 coils k25, and 6inch brass). Additionally, it should be compatible with mini talons (never could check, more on this later). I decided to convert this blaster into pump action prime from top prime as it is too chucky as a pistol but showed potential as a CQB-esque blaster. Accordingly, pulled out the good old vernier calipers and did the below EDs:

Unfortunately, I don't have the skill sets to get from concept to CAD to prototype. Reached out to
@flatten_the_skyline, who was happy to help. Flatten designed the CAD files (attached here) and printed them for me. This was quite interesting as we had never worked together, he has not held or actually seen the blaster in person. Yet, it worked in one try. In fact, his design and print was so good that the extension just friction fit to the blaster.

After that, it was just a matter of finding extra long bolts and special nuts to secure the blaster and the barrel extension together, and adding on the pump bit.

Ater some trial and error, I decided to go with a smaller worker barrel and the original spring as it had a nice smooth prime while still having high enough (130s) FPS.
@Joshi If you want to increase the performance, use a K25 along with a slightly longer barrel and you should get 180s or so. As stuch spring loads, it would recommend the pull and push handle at the back (instead or the pump action, think of it as an extra long hand cannon).
Here's some words from
@flatten_the_skyline (whose help, advice and contribution was invaluable in realizing the concept):
"
Not gonna lie I had my reservations. Never met @Avinash Shankar in person and I didn't even hear about that blaster. But the design seemed straightforward enough, communication was good and so I got going. The technical drawings were quite good, I added some chamfering and raised tolerances where I saw fit. I was kinda nervous but the parts I sent fit at the first try..."
Regarding the stringer, it is by Leedledynamics (
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1341665457/lanka-string-powered-foam-dart-pistol) and printed by
@smells like foam . Interesting story. So my original plan was to make the above blaster and provide two nightingale mags modified (a notch cut in them) to work with the above blaster. unfortunately, I waited too long to order them and by the time this was ready, blaster-time did not have them in stock and it would have taken too long for AKmods to ship them. Hence my plan to add the stringer (aka beauty, the above blaster becoming the beast). The stringer is compliant with talons as was my way of making up for not providing compatible mags.

Unfortunately, the stringer is kind of tricky to tune. To get decent FPS (90-100), you need to increase the tension on the elastic. However, then the elastic has a tendency of going above the dart in the chamber. (It is picky about old/bendy darts). I thought I had fixed the problem by using superglue to increase the material holding on the dart and by reducing the tension on the elastic (around 70 FPS). I did test it before sending with worker gen 2s. I am sorry for it not working.
All in all, I had fun in building these. Thanks to
@flatten_the_skyline and
@smells like foam for their help.
@Joshi I hope you enjoy plinging and tinkering with them. Let me know if you have some ideas regarding the stringer.
PS: to my secret santa, damn you for introducing me to lever action blaster

. Not only does the blaster you made look good but it feels pretty good to operate. I now see the appeal in lever action (especially priming with your dominant hand). Please know that if I end up buying a SLAB, it's bcoz you
